Power Platform Developer, Advisory – Guernsey or Jersey

Job Summary
As a member of the Advisory practice, you will be part of a team responsible for identifying and delivering client requirements in a way that demonstrates value on their investment. You will work closely with an experienced team, be involved in a variety of engagements, interacting with clients and building and strengthening business relationships across the region. Being part of a smaller, agile department, you will also have excellent opportunities to be involved in strategic initiatives, have input into the management of the business and contribute directly to the running of the practice. Over time you will become a trusted business advisor, managing a team, defining project strategy for multiple and/or complex projects and other key initiatives of the firm.

As a credible candidate you will have developed core skills in managing and working with complex data sets, including a strong background in database technologies such as SQL. Additional experience with comparable data analysis tools such as R, Python, Alteryx or otherwise is also helpful.

In this role, you will design, develop and implement custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include integrating Power Apps with various data sources, including SharePoint, SQL Server, and other third-party applications, and developing and maintaining Power Automate workflows to automate business processes. You will also create and manage Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights, ensuring the security and scalability of
Power Platform solutions. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Power Platform applications will be part of your role, along with staying up to date with the latest features and updates in the Power Platform ecosystem.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential skills

• Knowledge of and experience working with complex data sets and database technology
• Proven experience as a Power App/ Power Platform Developer
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, etc)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python, Power FX
• Experience in understanding client problems and designing relevant, applicable and sustainable technology solutions to meet requirements
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to accurately prepare and review reports on technical subject matter

Desirable skills

• Other data and analytics experience, having worked with tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau or other relevant technology, and using these tools to support the successful delivery of projects
• Knowledge of applicable technology in the fintech market
• Knowledge of systems in the Financial services sector would be beneficial but not essential
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

Travel Requirements
Travel may be required to visit client sites as part of day-to-day project delivery and some travel may be required between the islands and the UK as you will be part of a x-island team.

Senior Systems Engineer - Guernsey

We are on the lookout for a Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for the design, implementation and a delivery of our technical and security infrastructure.

 Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining, implementing and maintaining assigned infrastructure and security solutions through:
  • the interpretation of business goals and drivers,
  • the translation of requirement into technology solutions,
  • the assessment of current capabilities,
  • the implementation of required changes,
  • the execution and oversight of ongoing technical support activities.
• Effectively managing specialist technical employees, including management of external consultancy and contract resources.
• Designing and implementing systems and services solutions to ensure that the level of service delivered matches or exceeds the agreed needs of the business in a cost-effective manner.
• Managing changes to assigned service infrastructure components including service assets, configuration items and associated documentation.
• Delivering the capability, functionality and sustainability of infrastructure and security components (including hardware, software and network) to meet current and forecast needs.

• Analysing, measuring, reporting and improving of technology services, including the specification, implementation, documentation and operation of the technology infrastructure required to deliver and support properly engineered technology services.
• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of necessary technical specialisms within own area of responsibility and to provide expert advice regarding them.

Your qualifications and skills:

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar detailed technical infrastructure role.
• A proven track record of delivering similar capabilities.
• Supporting qualifications (e.g. appropriate university degree, technical product specific and/or industry qualifications such as Microsoft MCTIP/MCSE, VMware VCP, Citrix Associate/professional, Cisco CCIE/CCDA/CNA).
• A willingness to travel to a level necessary to performance the role effectively (primarily, but not limited to, Europe).

Document Automation Specialist – Guernsey
We are looking to recruit a Document Automation Specialist to join our Knowledge Management team. In this role you will carry out day to day automation work, maintaining the flow of projects and working with our knowledge lawyers and wider department.  You will be an expert in Contract Express, whose expertise extends beyond document creation and maintenance to look at integration with existing systems and workflow.  

About the role: In this role, you will:

• Work closely with subject matter experts on document automation projects.
• Attend to document automation support requests.
• Complete administrative tasks pertaining to the efficient management and maintenance of the document automation service.
• Work with other teams, such as IT, to build document automation solutions.
• Build and maintain key relationships in the business ensuring clients experience an engaging, professional, and efficient service.
• Assist in building and maintaining a document automation knowledge base.
• Support system upgrades as and when required.
• Maintain test scripts and requirement documentation.
• Ensure the necessary analysis and impact assessment is carried out prior to committing changes to live automated templated.
• Keep abreast of activity in the document automation space.

About you – essential requirements

• Working knowledge of document automation using Contract Express.
• Experience of working on complex automation projects, showing a structured and methodical approach.

Senior Systems Analyst (vPoint) - Technology Markets Services – Jersey / Southampton

The purpose of this role is to assist in the design and implementation of one of our core systems (vPoint), including processes and reporting systems, to enable the team to expand service offering throughout the Group.

This is a hybrid position that will see you working from the Southampton office a minimum of three days per week, but full time whilst you're in your probationary training period.

Key responsibilities:

Business as usual

• Interpret accounting and administration requirements, design and implement solutions to requirements and configuration of the systems to meet the demands of our clients
• Complete complex Service Requests and Incidents raised via the support desk (Ivanti) or enhancements raised through other means, including projects and keeping client teams appraised of progress
• Monitor and review service delivery in a timely manner, keeping client teams appraised of progress
• Review the work undertaken by more junior members of the team, and peers, to ensure quality and consistency in delivery and approach
• Application and report testing (System Integration Testing) and reconciliation activities in line with testing strategy, providing relevant evidence and documentation
• Document changes to system and process, incorporate training materials and design test cases to support the evidence that accompany the change
• Communicate clearly with other members of the team and members of the client facing teams, both verbally and in writing, when gathering or explaining requirements and provide resolutions etc.

• Gather requirements for reports, working with the reporting and data team, contractors, or independently to develop reports, with a consideration for opportunities to create a core (group-wide) solution which can be rolled out to service multiple clients
• Collaborate with various departments to deliver a solution which benefits the business and meets the needs of the group

Skills, knowledge and expertise:

• Previous working experience with vPoint (Viewpoint)
• Strong technical financial services industry knowledge, including accountancy background
• Part or fully qualified in a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, ICSA or relevant IT qualification) and prior business experience in private equity or real assets
• Advanced PC skills notably MS Office suite (MS Word and MS Excel) as well as a familiarity with programming languages such as Transact-SQL and Visual Studio
