Direct Marketing Executive

The Individual This role will suit a school leaver or recent graduate who is keen to embark on a career in marketing. The candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and be able to multitask and work to deadlines. Role profile Reporting to the Direct Marketing Manager, the Direct Marketing (DM) Executive is a key member of the Retention Team who are responsible for instigating a communications programme through print and email that increases customer loyalty and promotes customer retention across the Healthspan portfolio of brands. The Retention Team drive a significant revenue stream for the business and are key in showcasing the brands values and beliefs to customers. Role objective
• Support the Retention team in delivering continuous improvement of our DM & eDM activity to
active and lapsed customers through a test and learn approach. Working with the Direct
Marketing Manager to evolve our DM capabilities to increase relevance and personalisation &
providing support to the eDM team.

• KPIs: Response rates (%), Customer retention rates (%), No. of subscription sign ups, Lapsed DM
response rates (%), No. of lapsed customers reactivated
Key tasks and responsibilities Campaign planning and coordination
• Work with the DM team and internal stakeholders to create monthly print Direct Mail campaign assets across the Healthspan portfolio of brands: Vitamins Minerals & Supplements, Skincare, Petcare and Elite
• Develop Direct Mail briefs across a range of assets including copy and imagery requirements
• Provide feedback via our online review platform
• Proof and sign off assets with a focus on accuracy and grammar
• Help manage the workflow within the DM team to ensure print deadlines are met. Liaising with designers to effectively schedule and prioritise assets based on deadlines and commercial importance
• Effectively communicate monthly campaign plans to internal stakeholders Market and results analysis
• Assist in producing and analysing monthly results documents to measure campaign effectiveness and develop insights for future planning
• Conduct competitor reviews around email and direct mail to ensure our continued competitiveness in the core VMS market and ad hoc reviews for the Skincare and Petcare market
Email marketing assistance
• Proof all email communications with a focus on tracking, links, codes, accuracy and grammar
• Help maintain the personalisation table within Adobe and ensure that information is correct and updated when necessary
• Adapt UK emails for the international campaigns ensuring the relevant products and promotions are communicated to help deliver strong international growth targets
• Basic HTML coding for eDM deliveries to publish communications through Adobe Campaign
• Assist with email campaign analysis and interpretation of data to help improve email KPI’s
Marketing administration
• Set up and test all DM offer codes on and off-line before campaigns go live
• Management of print purchase orders to facilitate the delivery of required print assets General
• Assist the eDM team where required
• Participate in marketing projects on an adhoc basis
