Client Services Accountant

The Opportunity
Assisting the Head of Client Accounting with day-to-day accounting tasks and administration for our varied portfolio of HNW/UHNW client including: This is a permanent position, we are open to flexible working, reduced hours and/or term-time
working for the right candidate.
Duties, Responsibilities and Tasks
• Ensuring loan schedules are maintained for all loans of entities under administration (in
lender’s records where both the lending and borrowing entities are under Albany’s
administration)
• Preparing client entity financial statements produced in-house, updating appropriate systems
with the accounts status tasks as required. Ongoing monitoring of accounts status tasks with
a view to ensuring client expectations and statutory deadlines are met
• Responsibility for checking ledgers and giving approval before they go to external
accountants for accounts preparation
• Ensuring externally prepared returns and records are accurate (as far as is commercially
reasonable to ascertain) and received in a timely manner to comply with relevant
jurisdictional deadlines, such as;
o VAT returns
o tax, substance or financial returns of a statutory nature
o ledgers, loan schedules &/or other financial records pertaining to entities under our
administration, supervision, responsibility or oversight
• Reviewing externally prepared financial statements for approval prior to Director review

• Preparing (or reviewing) internally prepared financial statements and other information to
support timely completion of regulatory, tax and other returns for entities under Albany’s
administration, supervision, responsibility or oversight
• Contributing to the efficient and effective management of the Accounting function, including
workflows, guidance & mentoring (appraisals, objectives, training requirements etc.) of the
Bookkeeping team with particular focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness as well as focus
on being proactive and technically informed.
The Candidate
A professionally qualified or part qualified individual with client accounting experience from within the fiduciary sector including:
• experience preparing trust and company financial statements
• an analytical and methodological approach
• good communication skills
• advanced Excel skills
• proven ability to work in a proactive and intelligent manner; and
• experience of Acumen (preferred but not essential).
