Associate Director - Jersey

To develop Praxis’ fiduciary services business in Jersey.  Typically, this will involve promoting fiduciary services to existing and prospective clients and intermediaries.  Creating an environment of constant business growth in line with company strategy will also be important. 

To assist in business development, particularly in relation to extending services provided to existing clients and developing and maintaining good working relationships with intermediary providers.  This will require the post holder to support and conduct research into new fiduciary products that respond to client needs within Praxis’ target market.

To work closely with the directors to implement all aspects with the Company’s business strategy as it impacts on Jersey and within the framework of the Praxis Group as a whole.  In particular the post holder is expected to work with the directors to improve profitability whilst limiting both the Company and clients’ exposure to risk.  The post holder will have a client portfolio commensurate with the level of management responsibility.

Job Accountabilities:

Client Relationship Management

• Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the client relationships within area of control.
• Create strong, profitable relationships based on mutual respect with clients and a profound knowledge of the client’s affairs and encourage staff to do likewise.
• Anticipate client needs and manage client expectations in terms of service delivery without over promising.
• Use understanding of financial and investment issues to develop the most appropriate strategies to meet needs of clients.
• Anticipate technical problems when dealing with client issues, think laterally and creatively to find solutions and, where necessary, seek expert advice.
• Anticipate tax problems when dealing with complex client issues or structures and recognise when to seek expert advice.
• Regularly seek feedback from clients to enhance future performance.
• Encourage liaison between Praxis’ business units to ensure clients receive highest possible level of service.
• Assist the directors with contentious client issues, making decisions as appropriate.
• Critically review sets of company or trust accounts or other financial reports.
• Act as an ‘A’ signatory on bank accounts.
• Actively participate in the take on of new business.
• Act as a director of managed companies as required.
• Play an active part in the management of the managed companies to which they have been appointed a director.
• Provide cover for directors when required.

 Business Development

• Continually network with contacts outside of Praxis to further the development of the business.
• Seek opportunities to attend business forums and social functions to promote fiduciary services in general and Praxis’ expertise in particular.
• Promote the view that Praxis’ target market only includes clients of the very highest calibre who are discerning individuals connected with legitimate business activities.
• Encourage all fiduciary staff to seek opportunities to grow business with existing clients.
• Travel to meet existing and prospective clients, and nurture long term business relations with intermediaries who introduce new business.
• Adapt personal style to take account of the culture, individual and/or corporate contacts in which they are doing business.
• Demonstrate to clients the ability, supported by Praxis skill base and other specialists, to provide advice on all aspects of wealth management.
• Ensure that the company is fully informed about new clients and developments with existing clients.
• Keep up to date with changes in the market that have the potential to impact on offshore structures.
• Keep abreast of product and service developments that may enhance and add value to existing and potential client relationships. 
• Have a general awareness of financial and economic developments globally.

 Risk Management

• Understand and apply local legislation relating to drug trafficking, money laundering, terrorist financing and any other legislation that impacts on the conduct of fiduciary business within the jurisdiction.
• Stay up to date with changes in legislative and professional standards that impact on Praxis’ work.
• Manage complaints, operational risks, suspicions etc. in accordance with local procedures.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to Praxis’ risk management policies and procedures and, where appropriate, be proactive in identifying and proposing improvements.
• Support and advise in the setup of new clients; development of client handling procedures; closure of existing structures; KYC and exception monitoring.
• Identify and respond appropriately to risk situations relevant to the company and/or its clients and implement adequate internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Follow up client complaints to ensure that they have been satisfactorily resolved.

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

The holder of this position should ideally be educated to degree level in a business-related subject such as law or accountancy and be a member of a relevant professional body.  The post holder should have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in fiduciary services, with at least 5 years senior management experience.

Director – Fund Administration - Jersey

The purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and commercial direction for the fund administration function. As a Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality fund administration services, leading a team of professionals, building strong client relationships, driving regulatory compliance, and contributing to the growth and profitability of the business. This role is pivotal in shaping the operational strategy, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining the firm’s market reputation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and oversee the fund administration department, ensuring delivery of accurate and timely services across a portfolio of complex fund structures across the alternatives sector.
• Act as a senior point of contact for key client relationships, managing high-value accounts and ensuring consistent service excellence in line with Belasko’s Client Service model.
• Develop and implement departmental strategy in alignment with broader business goals, including resource planning, workflow management, and service innovation.
• Ensure compliance with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) laws, and other local regulations governing financial services to include internal policies and procedures.
• Guide the preparation and approval of fund administration deliverables, including (but not limited to) financial reporting, administration, governance, regulatory, tax and legal matters.
• Play a leading role in new business proposals, client pitches, and onboarding of complex structures.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and professional development; provide coaching, feedback, and succession planning.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must hold Table 4 professional qualification (e.g., STEP, TEP, ICSA, ACCA, LLB).
• Minimum 10–12 years’ experience in fund administration or financial services, with at least 5 in a senior management or leadership capacity.
• Deep knowledge of fund structures and fund administration practices, particularly in alternative asset classes.
• Previous or current approval by a financial services regulator in a Prescribed Role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large teams, overseeing client portfolios, and leading operational strategy.
• Proven track record of building and sustaining senior client relationships and supporting business growth.
• Familiarity with fund administration systems (e.g., Investran, eFront, Allvue) and workflow tools.

Job Title: Client Director / Executive Director

Location: Guernsey (with regular travel to Switzerland)

About the Role

We are seeking a high-calibre Client Director / Executive Director to join our senior leadership team within a privately owned, independent licensed Guernsey-based fiduciary company. This role will be central to the ongoing growth and management of a key group of, high-value corporate clients specialising in assetization — including issuer securitisation products, bankables, non-bankables, real assets, and digital assets.

The successful candidate will play a dual role: serving as primary client relationship lead, while also acting as a board-level executive responsible for contributing to the strategic direction and performance of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for a dedicated portfolio of sophisticated corporate clients.
• Manage and nurture strong relationships with clients and their underlying stakeholders, often across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across administration, accounting, and project functions.
• Ensure a deep understanding of each client's structure, purpose, and strategic objectives.

Technical and Regulatory Oversight

• Provide expert guidance on the structuring and administration of:
  • Guernsey PCCs, ICCs, and SPVs
  • Cayman SPCs and SPVs
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of asset-backed product structuring, related-party arrangements, and regulatory compliance considerations.
• Liaise with legal counsel, compliance, and other service providers to ensure sound corporate governance and adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
• Oversee certain regulatory processes, including consent applications to the GFSC.

Leadership and Board Responsibilities

• Act as an Executive Director on the board of the primary license holder, contributing to the overall governance, management, and performance of the company.
• Serve as an ‘A’ signatory, assuming appropriate fiduciary and operational responsibilities.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Strong technical understanding of securitisation structures, asset-backed products, and relevant corporate vehicles (PCCs, ICCs, SPVs).
• Working knowledge of Guernsey and Cayman regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with the roles of legal advisors, custodians, auditors, and other service providers in complex corporate structures.
• Knowledge of digital assets is advantageous, though not essential.
• High level of commercial acumen and proven ability to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and governance standards.
