Objectives Proactive reputation building and positioning To proactively position Guernsey as a credible, responsible, and forward -looking global financial centre

reputational capital across priority markets, audienc es, and stakeholders.

Reputation management and risk response To lead the effective management of reputational risk by ensuring Guernsey Finance can respond

quickly, clearly, and authoritatively to issues, threats, or negative scrutiny, mitigating potential impact and

protecting Guernsey’s standing in the global mark etplace through well -judged, timely, and proportionate

communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a communications strategy and plans aligned with the Guernsey’s

overall financial services strategy and GF ’s promotional mandate .

• Articulate clear and compelling promotional messages .

• Ensure communications and marketing activity are aligned, integrated and mutually reinforcing

across campaigns, events and digital channels .

• Be proficient and proactive in interacting with press and external stakeholders .

• Work with local , financial trade , international and other commercial media .

• Provide strategic direction, oversight and performance management of external PR, communications and related agencies, ensuring alignment with GF strategy, values and KPIs and evaluating effectiveness, value for money and strategic contribution .

• Ensure that the CEO and other GF spokespeople have maximum opportunity to communicate key messages through all major media channels regularly in line with the communications plans agreed.

• Provide media training to senior leadership and spokespeople .

• Lead crisis and issues communications when required.

• Work with the CEO to strengthen awareness and appreciation of GF’s work within the States of

Guernsey and GIBA. • Provide strategic advice on communications, reputational risk and emerging issues. • Work with senior internal and external leadership including States of Guernsey, GIBA, GFSC,

TheCityUK and the Financial Times .

Management The CD will act as line manager of the Communications team and , depend ent on the candidate

experience could be a member of the S enior Management Team (SMT) of GF .

• Provide strong leadership and management of the communications team, fostering high

performance, accountability and professional development .

• Oversee content quality across digital, social and publication channels. • Define, monitor and report against communications KPIs and performance metrics.

• Use insight and data to inform decision -making, refine messaging and demonstrate impact to

the Board and stakeholders .

• Provide clear, high -level reporting and analysis to senior management and the Board

• Communicate effectively with other function heads and play a role in the coordination of

Experience

• Demonstrable experience of operating in a values led way , with a strong personal commitment

to professionalism, integrity, respect, and ethical practice in all aspects of communications and

stakeholder engagement.

• Senior experience in communications, PR, journalism or corporate affairs .

• Chartered PR Practitioner and member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), or at

minimum a current member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

• Understanding and interest in Guernsey’s financial services sector .

• Proven ability to deliver strategic communications and manage reputational risk .

• Confident adviser and spokesperson with strong commercial and political awareness .

The Role & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to be self-sufficient, although we do receive, and are able to call upon the support of the wider Savills UK Ltd, Southern Area Building & Project Consultancy team. Savills are able to provide formal and informal training to help you to develop further.

The role will be based in either the Guernsey or Jersey offices, but it will also require time out of the office at client meetings, undertaking inspections and on site as required. The Channel Island Building Surveyor teams support each other, and therefore travel and work within each island will be required at times. Building and maintaining relationships with the wider Savills UK Ltd BPC teams is also important and therefore some off island travel will be required.

To prepare and deliver professional reports and presentation of findings; and documentation required for the delivery of the projects.

To develop Praxis’ fiduciary services business in Jersey. Typically, this will involve promoting fiduciary services to existing and prospective clients and intermediaries. Creating an environment of constant business growth in line with company strategy will also be important.

To assist in business development, particularly in relation to extending services provided to existing clients and developing and maintaining good working relationships with intermediary providers. This will require the post holder to support and conduct research into new fiduciary products that respond to client needs within Praxis’ target market.

To work closely with the directors to implement all aspects with the Company’s business strategy as it impacts on Jersey and within the framework of the Praxis Group as a whole. In particular the post holder is expected to work with the directors to improve profitability whilst limiting both the Company and clients’ exposure to risk. The post holder will have a client portfolio commensurate with the level of management responsibility.

Job Accountabilities:

Client Relationship Management

Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the client relationships within area of control.
Create strong, profitable relationships based on mutual respect with clients and a profound knowledge of the client’s affairs and encourage staff to do likewise.
Anticipate client needs and manage client expectations in terms of service delivery without over promising.
Use understanding of financial and investment issues to develop the most appropriate strategies to meet needs of clients.

Stay up to date with changes in legislative and professional standards that impact on Praxis’ work.
Manage complaints, operational risks, suspicions etc. in accordance with local procedures.
Ensure understanding and adherence to Praxis’ risk management policies and procedures and, where appropriate, be proactive in identifying and proposing improvements.
Support and advise in the setup of new clients; development of client handling procedures; closure of existing structures; KYC and exception monitoring.
Identify and respond appropriately to risk situations relevant to the company and/or its clients and implement adequate internal controls to mitigate risk.
