Senior Administrator, Finance
This position plays a crucial role in supporting Butterfield’s finance team. You will work closely with the finance team to oversee and administer the accounts payable procedure, production of daily reporting and assisting in the financial reporting process for Butterfield Bank (Channel Islands) Limited .
Your responsibilities will include:
· Maintaining the purchase ledger in accordance with the procedure manual and SOX requirements.
· Ensuring vendors are paid promptly, and deal with vendor queries.
· Producing weekly reconciliations for the purchase ledger.
· Preparing and analyse daily reports for the Bank.
· Maintaining system interest rates.
· Maintaining petty cash register and account for all petty cash transactions.
· Participating in monthly financial close process.
· Supporting the team during the audit by collating the documents requested by the audit team.
Your qualifications and skills:
· A minimum of one year's experience in a finance department using a purchase ledger system ideally, or a similar finance system.
· Good organisational skills.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Experience with Microsoft Office or similar.
· The ability to work under own initiative.
· Good communication skills for liaison with management, employees, external vendors and auditors.

Position Summary:
To assist senior members of the team in the provision of UK tax advisory and compliance services to a portfolio of clients. To support and grow the team in the provision of high-quality UK tax services both to local fiduciaries and the international market (UK and elsewhere).
Specific Duties
• Utilise and develop an in-depth technical knowledge of UK tax legislation in relation to a wide range of UK corporate tax matters
• Assist in the provision of written technical advice to clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and intermediaries
• Attend and ultimately lead meetings with client and intermediaries to build a client portfolio
• Manage workload effectively to ensure service targets are met
• Monitor and take responsibility for own performance management in order to meet commercial and developmental goals
• Participate in and ultimately lead in-house and external training on various UK technical tax issues.
• Understand billing process and chargeable time and manage own time effectively with a view to taking responsibility for the billing of portfolio
• Work on agreed training requirements and performance goals to ensure on-going development
• Consult and escalate issues and exceptions to directors to alleviate problems or risks
Other Requirements
The candidate will ideally have:
• Achieved a professional qualification – ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA
• Technical knowledge and previous experience in UK corporation tax, both advisory and compliance
• Previous experience in a similar role

• To ensure client on-boarding is carried out within our procedures strictly ensuring all AML and CDD is sufficient for our purposes.

Tax Officer
The role
Assist the Tax Manager to complete the tax compliance for all the entities administered by
Saffery Trust (Guernsey) Limited.
The Responsibilities
• Assist the Tax Manager to ensure that all the deadlines for the submission of the
relevant tax returns are met including Trust and Estate returns, Guernsey Company
Returns, Guernsey Personal Returns, Guernsey Quarterly ETI returns, Guernsey
Distribution Returns, ATED returns, BVI Substance declarations, UK Corporation Tax
Returns, UK Personal Returns, IHT returns, Trust Registrations and ROE Registrations to
prevent penalties
• Check Guernsey Assessments received and ensuring payments are processed in a timely
manner to prevent surcharges
• Assist with the FATCA/CRS reporting to ensure that the reports are submitted ahead of
the deadline
• Assist with ad hoc queries from the Trust teams and actioning the daily post in a timely
manner
• Ensure that the tax due is paid in time and issuing reminders, as required, to prevent
surcharges and penalties being applied
• Assist with bringing the capital gains up to date to mitigate any potential issues as early
as possible
• Carry out tax compliance reviews to ensure that tax compliance requirements are met,
and that the CRS reporting is accurate
• Complete ad hoc duties as may be required

The PwC CI Cyber Risk Advisory team helps clients to understand their cyber risks and define and execute a strategy which enables the business to deliver its objectives within their desired risk envelope.

Client engagements generally are full service and include responsibilities ranging from general ledger maintenance to financial and investor reporting.
