The Opportunity The Trainee Client Services Accounts (the ‘TCSA') will assist the accounting team with bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements for a range of Trusts and managed companies. The TCSA will report to the Head of Client Accounting Support will be given to career progression and undertaking relevant professional qualifications. Duties, Responsibilities and Tasks: Bookkeeping:
• Posting of transactions such as purchases, sales, dividends, corporate actions, and accumulation dividends of investment portfolios
• Posting of bank transactions on a monthly basis • Posting of property letting statements • Posting of non-cash transactions • Accurate and timely saving of statements and advices on Laserfische • Bank and portfolio reconciliations on Acumen • Identifying any areas of non-compliance or weakness and breaches • Interacting with Client Services and other teams • Adhering to Albany’s processes, accounting and finance related policies and
procedures and associated checklists Accountancy:
• Assisting with the preparation of client entity financial statements produced in-house • Maintaining accurate financial records • Assisting with audits, tax calculations, and compliance with financial regulations
• Assisting with maintaining loan schedules for all loans of entities under administration
(in lender’s records where both the lending and borrowing entities are under Albany’s administration)
• Updating appropriate systems with the accounts status tasks as required • Assisting with checking ledgers before they go to external accountants for accounts
preparation • Assist the Head of Client Accounting with any ad hoc tasks
Key competencies
• 1 + years’ experience in a financial services or accounts administration role • Use of Excel up to simple formula stage • A team player with strong communication skills • Analytically minded with proven ability to problem solve • Promotes Albany’s philosophies, values and mission statement
