ROLE OF ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

GENERAL

• Responsibility for the management of a portfolio of captive and commercial (Re)insurance companies and accounts within a segregated accounts company.
• Responsibility for producing accurate accounting, underwriting and company secretarial information on a timely basis to enable the client Boards and controllers to make informed decisions.
• Liaising with the parent company, insurance regulator, directors, service providers etc in respect of the above.
• Advising senior management of issues of significance in respect of the above.

SPECIFIC

INSURANCE

• Policy administration and documentation
• Claims administration including reporting and recording
• Liaison with insurance and reinsurance brokers as required
• Underwriting decisions in conjunction with Directors, renewals and new business
• Checking the risk gap
• GFSC approvals of changes to business plans
• Obtaining Board approval
• Checking insurance documentation
• Accounting for premiums
• Agreeing reserving methodology

FINANCIAL

• Production of management accounts, statutory accounts and information, budgets, cashflow statements, and supplementary information as required.
• Assisting with the adoption of appropriate accounting practices and ensuring adherence thereto.
• Monitoring margins of solvency

Live Accounting

• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Monthly posting of bank investment transactions
• Monthly posting of monthly bordereaux

Cash

• Managing day to day cash requirements of companies
• Liaising with banks
• Liaising with and monitoring investment managers in respect of client invested funds.

COMPANY SECRETARIAL

• Performing relevant company secretarial functions including occasionally taking and producing minutes of meetings and required statutory filings.
• Ensuring minutes produced and circulated within seven days of meeting.
• Produce action points immediately after minutes are produced and add to “To Do Lists”
• Actioning matters arising.
• Arranging AGM
• Maintaining Corporate Governance framework and procedures manual

Board Meetings

• Co-ordination of board meetings. Producing board pack to agreed standards and timing (7 days prior to meeting). Attending meetings and leading discussions as necessary

  • Overnight arrangements (Dinner, taxis, hotels etc)
  • In-house lunch or book restaurant.

• Maintaining contact with local directors and keeping them advised of developments with client.

TRAINING

• Undertaking appropriate and relevant training and development
• Assisting with training of colleagues where relevant.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining an ongoing relationship with the client.
• Visiting the client at least annually
• Socialising with client wherever appropriate
• Understanding the client's business and industry.

This role reports directly to a Client Service Director / Team Leader

Accounts Admin Jobs

• Invoices received from contractors - These are entered as payments on Lloyds (generally 1 payment run per week): Logging into Lloyds system to input payments that have first been approved by Property Managers.

Once a week. Around 1-2 hours depending on number of invoices

• Updating Quickbooks with payments/money in: Once a payment has been entered, go to quickbooks and input as a “cheque” with the payee, category, desc (if needed), amount, class & date of payment. If money in, use bank deposit and fill out similar info as payments except it won’t be payee, instead it’ll be received from & account (what money received relates to.

Once a week. Around 1-2 hours

• Reconciliations on Quickbooks against the bank statements: Print out statement from last date reconciled to today’s date – check all transactions match bank account and when done, print reconciliation report for file.

Depends on account. RS&C once a week, the other accounts are once every few weeks. 30 mins to 1 hour on average

• Preparing invoices and statements to tenants: When a client owes us money for various things (rent review, occupiers rate, etc) we prepare an invoice and send to tenant for payment. If we’re paying a tenant (usually overpayment or return of deposit) we prep & send a statement to document how much we are going to pay them.

On average 1-2 a week. Around 10-20 mins for each

• Monitoring bank account for payments and making transfers if necessary: Sometimes (Usually Social Security) money will be sent to the wrong account or sometimes the money goes to the letting account. Lettings account money needs to go to the relevant account (check with lettings if not sure what it relates to)

Once a week on a Friday. Around 5-30 mins depending on how much/if any needs to be transferred

• Answering payment/accounts queries via email & phone: Usually relates to payments of invoices/tenant deposits but some other ad hoc queries.

On average 1-2 a week. Around 5-15 mins for each

• Setting up standing order forms & taking to banks: The templates are in Gill folder, these are set up when new tenant arrives or rent review. Once received back a signed copy, scan this and take it to the bank (usually early/mid month to ensure it gets processed in time).

1-2 per week to set up, these take a minute or two for each. To scan, document on spreadsheet & take to bank takes around 30 mins to 1 hour once a month

• Rent reviews: Form is provided by property manager. We check if it’s increased and mark on rent review spreadsheet. Also, prepare invoices and new standing order forms if needed. Once done, sign sheet and hand back all docs to PM.

1-2 per week, each takes around 5 mins.

• Cash tins: Some people pay rent via cash – once a month, place cash in blue bags and take to Lloyds (filling out details on front & updating cash sheet so we know what it relates to). Tear off strip and place bags in drop off point. Get strip signed by Lloyds.

On average we receive cash/cheque once every 2 weeks – takes 5 mins to complete receipt & update cash sheet. Completing blue cash bags & taking to bank takes around 15 mins to 1 hour depending on how many bags to complete.

• Tax returns: Quarterly, there are a few Landlords that we need to fill out forms for. Use the Income tax file for previous for reference. Complete a cheque once done for all and send this plus the completed forms to the tax office – make sure to take a copy of the forms. We also do yearly agency tax returns – again see previous forms for reference (we don’t make payments for these).

Quarterly returns take around 2-3 hours to complete (including letter & cheque to tax). Yearly agency returns take around 2-3 hours.

• Commissions, letting & lease fees: When paying some invoices, there will be an enhanced management invoice attached – add this to the commissions book Excel and we will take these when processing the next statements. Letting/lease fees are given to us from the lettings team – again, add this to the commissions book.

A few a week on average – takes a couple of mins to complete.

• Preparing & sending out statements to landlords (monthly & quarterly): Most of these are via Quickbooks (apart from CMS & Skipton) these detail the income, expenditure & the bottom of the Landlord statements detail the money owed to the landlord. We usually make these payments on the same day we send the stmts & take our commission at the same time.

RS&C Monthly takes around 2-3 hours. RS&C quarterly is around 2-3 days. CMS statements are around 2-3 days. Others around half a day to a day.

• Service charge accounts: These are spreadsheets that details the service charge expenditure & income. They need to be updated to show the years income/expenditure.

Not 100% sure as not completed on yet. A few hours if starting from scratch but if updating quarterly, it should only take around 30 mins

• Deposits & deposit returns: We transfer the deposit + interest (there are spreadsheets that detail the interest) to the rent accounts. We then pay these back to the tenants, minus any rent owed, plus any money owed back to tenant i.e. if they’ve paid full occupiers rates or waste charges

Around 20-30 mins for each

• Filing invoices: When an invoice has been paid & marked on Quickbooks- we file the invoices. CMS & MCT invoices are copied.

If done on a weekly basis, around 30-45 mins

• Changing disks: One disk needs to be changed daily (has the day on it) each morning. On Friday, there are two additional disks that need changing.

Senior Manager - Cyber Risk Advisory – Guernsey/Jersey

Job Description & Summary

The PwC CI Cyber Risk Advisory team helps clients to understand their cyber risks and define and execute a strategy which enables the business to deliver its objectives within their desired risk envelope.

We support client leadership teams to define their risk appetite and a proportionate target state of cyber capability and maturity to deliver it; we define operating and governance models to make cyber security a sustainable capability which responds to evolving business priorities; we deliver complex multi-year transformation programmes both uplifting clients’ cyber security capability and baking cyber security into other transformation agendas.

You will be part of a growing team and will work closely with other PwC member firms to deliver services to our local clients. You will have access to the top Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Risk Assurance professionals at PwC across the globe and our extensive network of Alliance partners.

As a Senior Manager, you will coordinate teams of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities:

• • Overseeing and managing and delivering cyber security and cyber risk projects, including reviewing documentation and reports, and quality assuring the work produced by junior team members.
  • Owning engagement commercials (including budgets and timelines).
  • Leading teams across a portfolio of cyber risk projects and clients.
  • Working as a subject matter expert in your field to support a team, and/or managing a larger team in delivering engagements at scale.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships and establishing credibility by demonstrating knowledge of various aspects of cyber security and identifying opportunities where PwC can assist.
  • Identifying client issues and qualifying opportunities for PwC to respond to those challenges and working with senior members of the team in developing client proposals and solution offerings.
  • Leading teams to respond to RFP’s and produce proposals to address client cyber security challenges.
  • Contributing to PwC’s voice in the market through delivering commercial campaigns aligned to cyber risk and authoring thought leadership

Qualifications & Certifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree, preferably Information Technology related.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or ISACA Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential skills:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in:

• • Providing industry-leading practices in cyber risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Leveraging knowledge of common regulatory requirements as well as industry frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001, COBIT, COSO and PCI
  • Managing and overseeing large projects involving information security, technology risk management, cybersecurity or cyber risk management.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role.

Travel Requirements:

Some travel will be required in this role (up to 25%).
