Our client, a respected organisation within the pensions and trust services sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract in Guernsey.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and professionally qualified accountant with trust accounting experience to lead on complex accounting work, support process enhancement, and provide technical expertise across a diverse portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation and review of statutory accounts and financial statements across trusts, private client pension schemes, EBTs and corporate pension schemes.
- Supporting and improving the accounting function while contributing to enhanced processes, controls and reporting standards.
- Acting as a technical resource for the Finance team, assisting with accounts preparation, tax returns and maintaining compliance with reporting requirements.
- Keeping up to date with evolving tax legislation and financial reporting standards to ensure best practice and accuracy.
This temporary contract offers the chance to step into a senior role with wide-ranging exposure across financial reporting, trusts and pensions. Together with your trust accounting experience you should have working knowledge of FRS 102, excellent organisational skills, confidence in prioritising deadlines and strong communication skills.
