An independent, privately owned fiduciary business is seeking an Assistant Compliance Manager to join its Guernsey office, supporting the delivery of compliance services across an international private wealth client base.
This brand-new role offers an excellent step forward for a compliance professional seeking greater technical responsibility, delegated authority and the opportunity to help shape processes within a small, collaborative team.
Our client is open to providing opportunities for the right candidate requiring a permit to work in Guernsey.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and challenging CDD, ECDD, source of funds, source of wealth information and client risk assessments, identifying gaps and escalating higher-risk or unusual matters appropriately.
- Signing off standard-risk CDD, onboarding and compliance checklists within delegated authority, while providing practical guidance on day-to-day compliance queries.
- Supporting Compliance Monitoring Programme actions, Risk Committee administration, regulatory registers, management information and the timely follow-up of outstanding actions.
- Contributing to business transformation and technology projects involving screening systems, onboarding workflows, SharePoint, CRM data and digital compliance controls.
This is a newly created position for someone with 3-5 years’ experience within AML/CFT/CPF compliance, preferably gained in a regulated fiduciary or trust environment. You should have some previous management, supervisory or work-review experience, however, our client is also open to an experienced Senior Compliance Administrator who is ready to step into an Assistant Manager position and take on greater responsibility.
This is an appealing opportunity for a compliance professional who wants to progress within a supportive fiduciary environment while gaining broader responsibility across technical compliance, governance, onboarding and business improvement.
