JOB DESCRIPTION INCUMBENT:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES: - Client Accounting
Responsibility for the overall client accounting function including ensuring the accurate
and timely input of client data internally and co-ordination with and control over both auditors and external service providers.
Co-ordinating the accounts production process. Working with the Administration team to check and approve all client financial
information before submission to external service provider. Working with the Administration team on all required client tax reporting/submissions. Providing day to day training and guidance on all areas of book-keeping and
accounting to the book-keeper. Reviewing and ensuring all accounting requirements of a portfolio of fiduciary private
client cases, and ensuring their respective trusts and company structures accounting requirements remain appropriate.
Analysis, enquiry and providing required schedules, information and documentation to the tax advisors on any accounting or financial matters.
Enquiry on complex matters and ensuring a focused approach to financial statements preparation.
Timely and accurate maintenance of internal client accounting records to ensure informed decision making by the Administration team as required.
Reviewing and finalising client financial statements and working papers and providing necessary feedback.
Reviewing significant entity minutes, agreements and contracts for the respective year/period on all significant transactions that require additional consideration as part of the internal review process.
Conduct detailed and/or sample checks on 5 Series transactions. Ensuring the client accounting schedule for prioritising accounts preparation and
reports for filing purposes, remains appropriate and kept up to date.

Co-ordinating audits and providing support in all audit matters. Acting as a signatory for the sign off on financial statements, along with administrator
or other authorised signatory. Providing support to the Head of Finance on ad hoc projects and urgent tasks as
required from time to time. Key reporting to the Head of Finance on progress with the client accounts, for
inclusion in Board Reports and monthly reporting to the Board. Ensure adherence to key operating procedures in accordance with internal manuals,
policies and procedures and to assist with the identification and implementation of new procedures as and when necessary.
Company Accounting Supporting the Head of Finance in the maintenance and preparation of all Opus Group
Company accounts. Overall responsibility for supervising the book-keeper, the book-keeping and accounts
payable functions. Monthly monitoring of KPI’s including preparing and, where necessary, analysing
reports to feed into the KPI’s. Tax Have responsibility for and liaise with the administration team on all client tax
reporting/submissions, including in respect of FATCA /CRS/Substance reporting. Act as the lead and point of contact for all client tax matters, including checking
external professional advice and working with external parties as required. Responsibility for all tax matters on Client accounts. Act as a member of the internal Tax Committee and to:
o Monitor changes in tax legislation and official guidance together with associated filing and reporting obligations both domestically and internationally.
o Proactively provide information, guidance and support to, and respond to specific questions from, the Directors and appropriate employees of the Opus Group in order to assist with the continued and complete tax compliance of the Opus Group and its client base.
o Liaise with industry bodies as required in furtherance of the above objectives. General Responsibility for generally improving internal accounting, procedures and system
improvements including but not limited to ensuring internal processes are efficient and fit for purpose, time wastages are minimised and efficiencies are optimised.
Supporting the Head of Finance in projects from time to time. Such other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time that are within your
skill set and experience.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION A professionally qualified accountant with relevant experience. Excellent communication skills (both written and orally). Effective time management skills. Self-motivated, proactive and good team spirit essential. Attention to detail, accuracy and presentation are critical. Flexibility and willingness to meet deadlines. Ability to lead and manage a team. High levels of computer literacy especially with Excel. Microgen 5Series experience
