One of our key clients - a leading regulated financial services organisation operating within the insurance and risk management sector - is seeking an experienced Underwriting Officer to join its team in Guernsey. 

This is a senior and influential underwriting role with direct exposure to board-level decision making, focused on governance, oversight and the effective operation of underwriting processes across complex (re)insurance programmes.

Responsibilities include:

• Chairing the Underwriting Committee and ensuring it operates in line with its Terms of Reference
• Reviewing, coordinating and signing off (re)insurance programmes and policy documentation
• Reporting to the Board on committee activity, KPIs and underwriting performance
• Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure effective oversight of client programmes and new business proposals

This is a highly visible position with regular interaction with senior leadership and board members so would be suit someone with strong leadership skills, analytical thinking and excellent communication skills.
