A leading international provider of fiduciary, corporate and private wealth services is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its growing legal function in Guernsey.

This is a senior legal opportunity offering significant exposure to board-level advisory work, legal risk management, regulatory matters and cross-jurisdictional legal support, making it ideal for an experienced lawyer looking to move into or further develop their career within the fiduciary and financial services sector.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary legal adviser to Guernsey-based boards on legal, fiduciary, regulatory and governance matters.
• Managing legal risk, complaints, PI notifications, contentious matters and relationships with external legal counsel.
• Supporting strategic business initiatives through pragmatic commercial legal advice and contract review.
• Supervising and mentoring junior legal team members while helping drive consistency across multiple jurisdictions.

You will be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years' PQE Jersey, Guernsey, England & Wales or equivalent common law qualification and possess strong technical legal knowledge combined with commercial awareness and sound judgement. You will also be a natural collaborator, comfortable working with senior leadership, and capable of influencing decisions while maintaining a strong focus on governance, risk and regulatory best practice.
