Join a well-established insurance business in Guernsey as a Compliance Officer and play a key role in safeguarding regulatory integrity across multiple jurisdictions. This is a unique opportunity to hold a prescribed position, gain valuable cross-jurisdictional exposure with both the GFSC and JFSC, and work in a lower-risk, stable sector compared to funds or fiduciary.
You’ll act as the company’s Compliance Officer and MLRO, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and guidance. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on operational compliance, offering both impact and variety in your day-to-day work.
Responsibilities include:

Acting as a Key Person under GFSC regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulatory guidance.

Developing, reviewing, and implementing compliance policies, monitoring programmes, and training.

Preparing and delivering compliance reports for quarterly board meetings and maintaining regulatory logs.

Liaising with regulators, providing guidance to internal teams, and preparing for regulatory visits.
You should hold a compliance qualification recognised by the GFSC (insurance-specific training provided), have 10+ years’ industry experience, with strong understanding of risk and regulatory environments, possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and have a proactive, analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
