One of our key clients is seeking an Assistant Manager - Risk and Compliance for their Guernsey office; a role where you would be focused on oversight, monitoring, and advisory support across a regulated environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fiduciary compliance professional — whether you’re ready to step up into an Assistant Manager title or looking to step into a more focused non-people-management role — with strong exposure to Guernsey’s regulatory framework and a confident, hands-on approach to risk and compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering the Compliance Monitoring Programme, including reviews, testing, findings, and timely follow-up across the business.
- Supporting the MLCO, MLRO, and Head of Risk & Compliance with policy updates, breach investigations, complaints handling, and regulatory reporting.
- Conducting sanctions screening, PEP reviews, outsourced provider testing, and wider compliance checks in line with internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
- Monitoring industry developments, undertaking legislative gap analysis, and contributing to project work, risk committee actions, and staff training initiatives.
You will need a solid understanding of the Guernsey regulatory environment, together with the ability to manage competing deadlines and approach issues with a practical, solutions-focused mindset. Experience with data protection legislation would be an advantage, but is not essential.
