A values-led industry body is seeking an experienced Communications Director (Chartered PR Practitioner or CIPR member) to join its senior leadership team in Guernsey, reporting directly to the Chief Executive.

This is a high-profile leadership role suitable for a confident adviser with strong political, commercial and media awareness which focuses on building, protecting and enhancing international reputation, shaping how Guernsey is positioned globally through clear, authoritative and impactful communications.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering an integrated communications and reputation strategy aligned to the wider financial services mission.

• Acting as lead adviser on reputational risk, issues and crisis communications, ensuring rapid and proportionate responses.

• Managing relationships with local, international and financial trade media, and overseeing external PR agencies.

• Leading and developing a high-performing communications team, setting KPIs and reporting impact to senior stakeholders and the Board.

We are keen to speak to candidates with senior-level experience in communications, PR, journalism or corporate affairs, ideally within complex or regulated environments, who has strong planning and project management abilities and good digital communications knowledge.
