Job Description

An ambitious and internationally focused provider of professional and financial services is seeking a Director, Global Accounting to join its growing Guernsey office.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading high-performing teams, building trusted client relationships and overseeing complex accounting and financial reporting engagements across a diverse international client portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, developing and mentoring accounting professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to key deadlines.
  • Reviewing and overseeing complex financial statements, management accounts and client reporting in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers while supporting new business onboarding.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing risk and identifying business development opportunities across the client base.

You will be a qualified accounting professional, or possess equivalent relevant experience, with strong technical expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS. You will also have a proven track record of managing complex accounting engagements, leading teams and building long-term client relationships. Experience presenting financial information to boards, investors and senior stakeholders will be highly advantageous.
